On Saturday, May 17, 2014 just before midnight, The Pageland Rescue Squad, High Point Fire District, and First Health EMS responded to a report of a vehicle crash on Stateline Road between Highway 601 and Faulkenberry Rd. Responders arrived to find that an SUV had collided with a four door sedan, trapping the front seat passenger of the sedan in the car. The Pageland Rescue Squad stabilized the sedan and disconnected the battery. Both the driver and passenger of the sedan were treated on scene by First Health Paramedics and transported by helicopter to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte NC. The occupants of the SUV were uninjured. The crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
